Paintball Fields

By Eldon Taylor

Mystery schools have taught the power of intention for aslong as we have a recorded history. It is the "intention"behind an act, a thought, a so-called duty, which is themeasuring stick. Instead of inches, or temperature units, and so forth, it is the degree of intention in terms ofunits of emotional intensity together with units ofdirection (e.g. good or bad intention). The ancient textsdeal with direction in terms of selfishness on one end ofthe scale (intention to do harm or deprive another) andaltruism on the other. Yet deep within the texts a paradoxappears. True altruism understands that the more one givesothers, the more one receives. To be altruistic bydefinition is to do good acts for others without theexpectation of reward. One can argue this philosophicalconundrum ad infinitum, the paradox remains. Modernresearch reveals clearly that aiding others, such asvolunteer and charity work, generates more joy thananything except dancing. [McGowan, 2005 #66] Further, themystical schools have always addressed the unseen power ofintent. From aura disturbances to just those uncomfortablefeelings one may experience around certain objects orpeople, supposedly the emotion and intent can be sensed andis stored in the surrounding environment.

Is there any scientific evidence to support thisperspective? The answer is an overwhelming yes! Forpurposes here, I will limit our focus to one of how we getwhere we want to be or manifest our desires, so onlycertain immediately relative aspects of what has beencalled the "field" of being shall be discussed. Still, Irecommend that you pursue this inquiry further.

Sometimes called "thought forms" or "thought fields," newresearch is identifying at least what one might call thepower of intention recorded and stored in patterns.[Gieseler, 2005 #19] These patterns may be invisible to thenaked eye, at least that of the human eye, but not to othermeans of measurement. Radio waves are invisible, so what'sthe big deal about invisible thought forms? Why should theenergy emitted by the human defy all the laws of energy andjust be lost? When you think about it--common sensesuggests that this mental transceiver possibility mayanswer many of the commonly experienced so-called phenomenaordinary folk experience every day.

One such study evaluated four people under controlledlaboratory conditions. The 4 volunteers meditated a focusedintention into a small electronic device. "The devices weresent to distant laboratories for testing. The thought formsin the devices successfully produced the results intended:

1. Raise or lower the pH of water. 2. Increase the rate of development of fruit fly larvae 3. Increase the activity of a liver enzyme by 25 to 30%." [Gieseler, 2005 #19]

Professor Emeritus of Stanford University, Dr. WilliamTiller has repeatedly demonstrated how thought cancondition spaces. I encourage everyone to take a look athis book, Subtle Energies and Intentionality. For theskeptic, another great book highly recommended is LynneMcTaggart's work, The Field: The Quest for the Secret Forceof the Universe.

The next time you give thought to your thoughts, you maywant to ask, "What am I creating?" Einstein said, "Only thefield is real." You are a field within a field--a veritabletransceiver of information sharing information, packets ofenergy, with and between both smaller (individual fields)and one vast interconnected field. Man is no longer distantfrom himself in the emerging model of modern physics. Mindand body are not separate as Descartes would have it andthe smaller world of the quantum does not behave underdifferent rules than the so-called large field of thephysica as followers or Newton might want to believe.Indeed, it's all interconnected, one gigantic web. Asleading pioneers in quantum mechanics have demonstrated, when the overlooked equations that stood for the Zero PointField were added back into quantum physics, the resultswere astounding--so astounding that some die hardmechanists still refuse to acknowledge this fact. AsMcTaggart puts it, "If the Zero Point Field--an ocean ofmicroscopic vibrations in the space between things...wereincluded in our conception of the most fundamental natureof matter, they (pioneering researchers) realized, the veryunderpinning of our universe was a heaving sea ofenergy--one vast quantum field. If this were true, everything would be connected to everything else like someinvisible web... They also discovered that we were made ofthe same basic material. On our most fundamental level, living beings, including human beings, were packets ofquantum energy constantly exchanging information with thisinexhaustible energ sea. Living things emitted a weakradiation, and this was the crucial aspect of biologicalprocesses. Information about all aspects of life, from thecellular communications to the vast array of controls ofDNA, was relayed through an information exchange on thequantum level. Even our minds, that other supposedly sooutside of the laws of matter, operated according toquantum processes. Thinking, feeling--every higher cogn onpulsing simultaneously through our brains and body."[McTaggart, 2002 #20]
